Causes stem from obesity, poor diet, an infection or small ducts.

Your veterinarian may need to express the anal glands manually and/or your cat might need an antibiotic.
Prolonging a vet visit can lead to your cat developing abscesses, impaction or more serious issues. Your vet can help you with treatment options that include diet changes or supplements.
